We offer a number of opportunities throughout the year for couples to socialize. Many dads of twins find it helpful to get to know other dads, too! These events offer couples a chance to enjoy an evening out, connect with other parents of twins, and help each other.
Couples' Night Out: Throughout the year, couples get together to have dinner, go to a comedy club, or go bowling. Suggestions are always welcome! Members sign up to attend at General Meetings so we know how many couples to expect. Couples chat, get to know each other better, and offer advice and support to each other.
Fathers' Night: One General Meeting a year, we invite the dads to come and see what we do every month! All fathers are welcome to participate in the 7:15 discussion groups. We keep the business portion of the meeting as short as possible, plan a program that appeals to moms and dads alike, and make sure to have plenty of refreshments!
Progressive Dinner: Held in the spring. Each couple has appetizers at one member's home with one set of couples, dinner at a second member's home with a different set of couples, and dessert at a third member's home with all the couples together. Members either host a course at their home or prepare some of the food for the evening. This is a popular event every year, so it's not much work and lots of fun!
Charity: We hold an annual Charity Event for the purpose of donating money to a children's charity. The event includes dinner, entertainment, and a gift auction. We work on the Charity throughout the year, soliciting prizes for the auction, planning the evening, making centerpieces, and wrapping the prizes we've collected. All are welcome to attend the event, and members are encouraged to sell as many tickets as they can to friends and family members. Many of our members choose to make this an evening out with their husbands.
